Special Contest for Childhood Obesity Prevention
Sadly, childhood obesity has become a widespread epidemic in the USA, with over 30% of kids overweight and about 18% of these obese. Obesity is a risk factor for most types of cancer. It is also a key risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and many chronic illnesses. Childhood obesity is often a prelude to adulthood obesity. As the saying goes, “The children’s health is the nation’s wealth.” It is more urgent now than at any time before that choosing a healthy lifestyle should start with children.
Fortunately, obesity at a young age is preventable! As a part of a new initiative, CancerPreventionDaily.com encourages kids to submit any of the following internet-friendly materials to promote childhood obesity prevention and inspire all kids to take action.
